Open a public correction or support request
HSKMAP uses its public GitHub issue tracker for vocabulary corrections, broken links, accessibility problems, technical bugs, and study-guide feedback. This gives every report a real destination and leaves a visible record when a learner-facing correction is made.
The most helpful messages are specific. For a vocabulary issue, include the HSK level, Chinese word, pinyin or meaning currently shown, and the correction you propose. For a technical issue, include the route, browser, device type, and steps that reproduce the problem.
- Vocabulary reports should include the word and level.
- Example sentence reports should include the full sentence if possible.
- Never include account credentials, identity documents, precise location, or other sensitive information in a public issue.
Privacy and other non-public requests
Do not publish private information in the issue tracker. If a request must move to a private channel, open a short issue that asks the maintainer to provide a private reply path without describing the sensitive details. The maintainer can then arrange the next step outside the public report.
Most vocabulary progress stays only in your browser and can be removed by clearing this site's local storage. HSKMAP has no learner account database, so the site cannot recover locally stored progress or associate it with an account.
What gets prioritized
HSKMAP prioritizes reports that affect learner accuracy, accessibility, privacy, or site availability. Suggestions about new features are welcome, but corrections and learner-facing clarity usually come first.
Not every suggestion can be added immediately. Changes are weighed against the goal of keeping the vocabulary map fast, calm, and easy to use.
Content feedback that helps learners
Strong content feedback explains the learner problem. For example, tell us when two words are easy to confuse, when an English meaning is too broad, or when a guide assumes knowledge that a beginner may not have.
Reports about broken links, unclear labels, incorrect metadata, and confusing study instructions are also useful because they directly affect how learners use the site.
