HSKMAP
Read the HSKMAP privacy policy covering local study progress, analytics, advertising, cookies, and privacy choices.
This privacy policy explains how HSKMAP handles information when you use the site. The core study experience is designed to work without requiring a personal account.
HSKMAP stores study progress in your browser and uses hosting infrastructure to deliver the site. Depending on the production configuration, privacy-conscious product analytics can also be enabled to understand aggregate page and feature usage. The sections below distinguish these uses instead of describing them as an unspecified collection of data.
HSKMAP can save vocabulary progress in your browser so words marked as learning or known remain available when you return. This progress is intended to stay on your device unless a future feature clearly explains otherwise.
The site can also store your selected language, flashcard prompt preference, and initial traffic-attribution values in local storage. Clearing site data, using private browsing, changing devices, or resetting your browser can remove these values because browser storage belongs to that browser profile.
HSKMAP is delivered through Cloudflare, which necessarily processes network and request information to provide security, caching, and site delivery. Cloudflare Web Analytics may report aggregate performance and visit information such as page routes, browser type, device category, referrer, and approximate region.
When a PostHog project key is enabled in the production configuration, HSKMAP records page views and learning-feature events such as opening a word, changing a level, or starting writing practice. The configuration avoids user profiles, and HSKMAP does not ask learners to identify themselves. Referrer and campaign parameters can be attached to aggregate product events.
The current HSKMAP build includes a Google AdSense account meta tag for site-ownership verification. It does not load the AdSense advertising library or request ads. Navigation, contact, legal, error, and unfinished internal screens are not treated as advertising inventory.
If advertising is enabled in a future build, this policy will be updated to describe the active provider and data use. Required consent controls and page exclusions must be configured before personalized or storage-dependent advertising is served in regions where those controls apply.
If you contact HSKMAP, the information you choose to send may be used to respond, investigate the issue, and improve the site. Avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information in support messages.
Correction reports and general feedback may be retained as long as needed to track content quality and product decisions.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or object to certain uses of personal information. You can contact HSKMAP to make a privacy request.
This policy may be updated when the site changes or legal requirements change. The reviewed date displayed above is the revision date for this policy content.
